Beginner friendly learning
New to coding or hackathons? No problem. We’ll have starter resources, example ideas, and mentors who love helping beginners get unstuck and ship their first project.
A beginner-friendly, student-focused hackathon where curious builders, coders, and designers come together to create something real — no experience required, just curiosity.
Campfire Hack is designed to feel like an online camp for builders: beginner‑friendly, highly supportive, and optimized for shipping something you’re proud of.

Meet other students who care about building things. Join as a team or find one at kickoff — Campfire Hack is all about collaboration, not pressure.
We’ll be announcing prizes soon — but think hardware, swag, and community recognition. Even if you don’t win, your project will live on and you’ll have something real to share.
This hackathon is built for students and beginners. If you’re curious and excited to build something, you belong at Campfire Hack.
Campfire Hack is for:
You do not need to have built a project before. If you can open a laptop and join a call, you can participate.
To make things flexible and fair:
The only requirement is that every teammate is a student and follows our code of conduct.
A simple flow: register, build something you’re excited about, get feedback and mentorship, then demo your project and compete for prizes.
Exact dates will be confirmed in your RSVP email. Here’s how the event will flow from kickoff to prize announcements.
Campfire Hack is prize‑based, but we’re keeping the exact rewards a surprise for now. Here’s how prize tiers and selection will work.
Prizes will be revealed soon.

Category prizes (for creativity, design, impact, etc.) will be announced on this page.
All prizes will be selected and distributed based on the judging criteria listed below. We’ll publish the final prize list and any sponsor‑specific rewards directly on this page before the event begins, so everything is transparent.
After winners are announced, we’ll contact teams via email to coordinate shipping, digital rewards, or credits. If your team wins but someone cannot receive a physical prize, we’ll work with you and Hack Club to find a fair alternative.
We want judging to feel clear and fair. Judges will look at four areas, each with a specific weight toward your final score.

Thanks to Hack Club and ProgZenith, we’re able to run this event as a student‑focused community experience.
Any student — whether in middle school, high school, or college — can participate. You don’t need to be part of a specific club or school.
The event is beginner friendly, so you’re welcome even if you’ve never coded before.
You can participate solo or in a team of up to 4 people. If you don’t have a team yet, we’ll help you find one during kickoff.
Nope! You don’t need prior hackathon or coding experience. Mentors, workshops, and example ideas will help you get started.
The only requirement is that you come ready to learn, experiment, and ship something — even if it’s small.
Prizes will be awarded based on the judging criteria (creativity, technical quality, impact, and presentation).
Exact prize items and distribution details will be posted on this page before the event begins, and winners will be contacted by email for delivery or digital rewards.
Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony after judging is complete. We’ll also follow up via email with a recap and winner highlights.

ProgZenith and Hack Club believe that teenagers do their best learning when they build real things. Your donation helps us cover event costs, sponsor more student projects, and create a space where young builders feel safe to explore ambitious ideas.
Every contribution to our HCB donation page goes directly toward empowering teenagers — from buying hardware to shipping stickers to supporting students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to join.
By donating, you’re not just funding an event; you’re helping a new generation of makers, programmers, and designers discover what they’re capable of.
Campfire is for everyone. We’re committed to a safe, inclusive environment where all participants can focus on learning and building.
Violations of the code of conduct may result in removal from Campfire Hack. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe, please contact the organizers immediately — your safety matters more than any project.
